Products
Each of our maps is digitally drawn by hand and does not come from a "drawer". Based on geodata and careful research, we check every marker before placing it on the map. Finally, we carry out extensive test prints to ensure that everything fits harmoniously. On average, 200-300 hours of work go into each map family.
This makes our maps unique and you won't find them anywhere else.
We set the highest quality standards in the production process:
Each pin canvas has a 390 g/sqm thick canvas made of 100% cotton (branded goods from SIHL®). In contrast to polyester canvases, which are mostly available on the market, cotton canvases offer three advantages: The fibers close when you remove a pin and no hole is left behind. In addition, the look and feel of a cotton canvas is much nicer, more natural and of higher quality. What's more, this finely textured linen fabric enables high color brilliance and a razor-sharp print image.
The canvas is stretched on a 2 cm or 4 cm thick stretcher frame made of solid spruce wood. The canvas is wrapped around the stretcher frame and attached to the back of the frame. This creates a beautiful look, as the frame is completely covered by the canvas and is therefore not visibl
The thickness of the canvas and the particularly tight tension ensure that the pins hold perfectly. The pins are easy to insert, do not tilt and do not slip out. We call it: "Pin Canvas LITE".
Alternatively, we install a lightweight foam board from KAPA® in the back of the frame of the "Pin Canvas PLUS" - for maximum hold of the pins. This material is of higher quality and more break-resistant than cork.
We also only use branded products for our magnetic boards and posters and not inferior materials from the Far East.
All of the above factors influence the pricing of our unique premium products.
Bei der „Pinn-Leinwand LITE“ verzichten wir auf eine Rückwand aus Leichtschaum oder Kork. Die Leinwand ist so dick, dass Pins direkt in der Leinwand halten. Beim Einführen eines Pins wackelt dieser zunächst etwas, bleibt danach aber dort stecken, wo er stecken soll.
Bei der „Pinn-Leinwand PLUS“ setzen wir zusätzlich eine 10 mm dicke Leichtschaumplatte (vergleichbar mit Kork) von KAPA® in den Keilrahmen ein. Das gewährleistet maximale Stabilität beim Pinnen! Die vier Ecken der Platte sind abgeschrägt, sodass du komfortablen Zugriff auf die kleinen Spannkeile behälst und so den Keilrahmen bei Bedarf nachspannen kannst. Außerdem befinden sich an der Oberseite der Platte zwei kleine Aussparungen, damit du den Keilrahmen an zwei Stahlnägeln aufhängen kannst.

Please note: The canvases (cotton blended fabric) are printed on the basis of pin-sharp data with a resolution of 2,400 dpi. Since the printed material naturally has an uneven surface , there may be slight optical blurring in the tolerance range depending on the viewing angle of the screen. This fact does not represent a defect and does not justify a complaint.
It's not just in the design that we do without anything unnecessary: the pin canvas can be hung directly with the stretcher frame on two steel nails without any problems. With the pin canvas PLUS, we have provided two extra cut-outs in the lightweight foam board for this purpose.
Sustainability is also important to us: Printing is done with water-based GREENGUARD GOLD-certified inks. And the stretcher frame is made of sustainable spruce wood from Bavaria - FSC certified.
Unsere Magnetposter sind die einfachste und kostengünstigste Lösung, um Reiseziele mit Magnete zu markieren. Die Magnethaftung beim Magnetposter ist allerdings deutlich geringer als bei unserem Magnetboard: Es haften nur kleine, leichte Magnete und keine Reisemagnete!
Unser Magnetboard ist dagegen eine sehr hochwertige und vor allem robuste Lösung: Wir kleben eine hochauflösend bedruckte Ferrofolie auf eine Aluminium-Verbundplatte. Diese Ferrofolie hat eine so starke Magnethaftung, dass Küchenmagnete oder Reisemagnete an ihr haften bleiben. Als Aufhängelösung bieten wir wahlweise Alumiunium-Bleche an – oder, wenn es richtig chic werden soll, eine Galerie-Aufhängung an. Diese verleiht dem Magnetboard eine schwebende Optik und lässt das Magnetboard noch hochwertiger aussehen als es ohnehin schon ist.
Bitte beachte: Magnete benötigen einen Mindestabstand zueinander, damit sie sich aufgrund ihrer Polarität nicht anziehen oder abstoßen. Je größer ein Magnet, umso größer muss der Abstand zwischen den Magneten sein. Wir empfehlen die kleinen Magnet-Pins aus unserem Zubehör – sie erlauben eine relativ hohe Dichte an Ortsmarkierungen (ca. 18 mm Abstand zueinander).
Wallpapers: How are wet-adhesive photo wallpapers installed?
The substrate should be dry, clean, smooth and absorbent.
Our non-woven photo wallpapers can usually be easily removed when dry. The wall will not be damaged.
Walls and ceilings are never completely straight. Therefore, the wallpaper must always be slightly longer and wider than the clear wall dimension. The protruding remains are simply cut off after assembly.
The wallpaper is custom-printed according to your order as an individual custom-made product. That's why you can't reorder any lengths later, but have to reorder the entire wallpaper in a new order.
Personalizations
You can choose from a variety of motifs or logos to personalize our cards. You can not only specify the name (line 1), but also determine the sub-line (line 2). With some themes you can even define text for a legend .
This is how it works: Before ordering, simply select the desired personalization from the menu (the product images explain the variants very well), enter the name in text field no. 1 and the subline in text field no. 2. Then add it to the shopping cart - and that's all.
When personalizing, you can also select or deselect a quote and freely define it (only applies to world maps).
The text length per line should not exceed approx. 25 characters!
Apostrophe yes or no? There are two orthographic options:
The correct spelling is without an apostrophe, i.e. "Tom & Emma's World Travel Map".
However, according to Duden, it is also correct to use an apostrophe to emphasize the name more. That's why we chose the spelling "Tom & Emma's World Travel Map".
If you don't use an apostrophe in your specification: We'll add the apostrophe after the name ("Tom & Emma's").
However, if you insist, we will of course omit the apostrophe!
Yes, you can replace the Bourdain quote with another quote of your choice. To replace the quote, please choose one of the personalization options. And enter the desired text in the text field provided.
If your specifications are not very specific: Before the start of production, we will send you a proof by email. So nothing can go wrong!
We would be happy to print a company logo on the card. For this individual implementation, we only charge a small surcharge for data transfer, preparation of the print data and coordination, depending on the type and effort. Please send us an inquiry via email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
The color combinations of our card material have been carefully selected and proofed in a lengthy process (coordinated in several proof samples). A color change requires a new check of the colors, which would result in a very time-consuming and costly process.

Yes. Within up to 24 hours after your order has been placed, we will start preparing for production. At this moment we will send you an order update with an announced delivery date. As long as you have not received this order update, you can change or cancel your order. Once the delivery date has been communicated, it is unfortunately no longer possible to change or cancel the order.
Exception: If you want to change the delivery address , you can let us know up to 3 working days after placing your order using the contact form.
Yes, you can cancel your order - up to the point at which we send an email with the delivery date (within 24 hours of receipt of the order). From this point in time, it is no longer possible to cancel the order.
Shipping
All maps are not in stock, but are made to order just for you. Therefore we have a delivery time of 6 to 8 working days (Germany).
We usually always have accessories such as pins or magnetic pins in stock and ship them within 1 to 2 working days.
In Germany, all items are shipped free of charge. Shipping costs only apply to delivery addresses outside of Germany. The exact shipping costs can be found in our shipping conditions .
Deliveries to non-EU countries are unfortunately very expensive due to the high packing dimensions. We therefore recommend that the delivery be made to a German address. Companies like MeinEinkauf.ch and similar offer attractive options for transporting goods from Germany to Switzerland.
Since the maps are produced individually for you, our production and delivery times are slightly longer than usual. You can find out the respective delivery times directly on the product detail page or in our shipping guidelines.
On request and for an additional charge of 25.00 euros, we offer express production (see next section).
The specified shipping time is a guideline. In individual cases, delays may occur over which we have no influence.
We process our customers' orders chronologically in fixed production processes. With the "Express" option, we offer customers the opportunity to prioritize their order, i.e. the order is removed from the usual production processes and handled separately. For us, this means a change in processes and ultimately additional work. We therefore charge an additional 25.00 euros gross for this express option.
"Express" does not mean that we ship faster. Because 90% of all orders are sent overnight anyway.
Products with a pack size of up to 120 cm long and 60 cm wide (corresponds only to canvases in the format 80 x 60 cm) are shipped with DHL.
Products with a larger pack size (corresponds to canvases from 100 cm wide) are shipped with GoExpress.
Delivery by Go! Express is always on weekdays between 08:00 and 13:00.
If an afternoon delivery is desired, there will be an additional cost of 10.00 euros.
DHL usually leaves a message so that you can pick up the goods at the nearest post office as usual.
Deliveries of cards with a side length of 100 cm or more are a little different: due to the pack size, we send them with the GoExpress shipping company. Every delivery therefore means a special journey.
If the first delivery attempt is unsuccessful, we would like to point out that in rare individual cases, GoExpress may charge you for the second delivery attempt. Depending on the pack size, this will incur costs of up to €45.00. These costs must be paid by the buyer before the second delivery.
If the notified delivery date does not fit into your planning, we will be happy to arrange a desired delivery date before sending the goods. Please send us a message by email or give us a call immediately after the approximate delivery date has been announced.

No. The formats of our world maps are not suitable for packing stations.
If the delivery is made to a non-EU country, additional customs duties, taxes or fees may have to be paid by the customer, not to the provider, but to the customs or tax authorities responsible there. Customers are advised to check details with customs/tax authorities prior to ordering.
Return & Complaint
Yes! We produce our products with great passion and it is important to us to offer you high quality. You are still not happy with the goods? No problem: Non-personalized items have 14 days after receipt of the goods to send them back to us.
Please note that the customer bears the costs of the return.
All items with personalization are custom-made products that are completely tailored to your needs. We can no longer resell you. Therefore, these products are unfortunately excluded from return (according to § 312 g Para. 2 No. 1 BGB).
You can return your ordered, non-personalized items to us within 14 days of receipt of the shipment.
Items must be unused and in perfect condition (no visible pin holes).
The original packaging must be returned undamaged .
Your refund will be processed within 2-3 business days after we receive the returned item. The refund will be made via the original payment method. Refunds to another means of payment are not possible.
Please note that, depending on the payment method you have chosen, it may take a little while for you to see that your payment has been received.
Our forwarding agency works very conscientiously. Nevertheless, damage to the goods during transport can never be completely ruled out. If the goods arrive damaged, please send us 2-3 photos of the goods and the packaging.
If the complaint is justified, we will provide a replacement as soon as possible.

Our quality management ensures that the goods are sent in perfect condition. Nevertheless, mistakes can happen to us. If the print is blurred and we didn't notice this before shipping, please send us 2-3 photos as proof. If the complaint is justified, arrange for a replacement immediately.

Tensioning & Care Instructions
You have just received your new canvas and it has creases or the canvas itself is no longer quite tight? No need to worry - this is not damage or a defect:
Our canvases are fully-fledged, professional gallery canvases made from 100% natural materials. The special thing about them is that the canvas fabrics are not simply stapled to the wooden frame, as is the case with standard frames or cheap products. Instead, small wooden wedges stuck into the back of the stretcher frame ensure that the canvas is properly stretched and can be stretched again and again (after all, the material works over time). During production, we make sure that these wedges are firmly stuck in the stretcher frame and that the canvas is stretched as tightly as possible.
During shipping, however, the package is inevitably exposed to shocks and leverage. Despite good packaging, these external influences can cause the wedges to slip a little - and the canvas to lose tension. The result: creases in the canvas!
Solution: To smooth out these creases again, the wooden wedges simply need to be hammered a little deeper into the frame. This pushes the wooden slats of the stretcher frame further apart and the canvas becomes tighter.
To do this, proceed as follows:
- Carefully place the stretcher frame on the picture surface (preferably on a blanket so that the printed image is not damaged).
- Carefully (!) drive the wooden wedges deeper into the corners with a small hammer (1-2 millimeters is enough in most cases, never all the way!).
- Done! After 1-2 days, the creases should be smoothed out; if this is not the case, please drive the wedges in a little deeper.
A little tip: Have you re-stretched the canvas but it is not yet sitting really tightly on the stretcher frame? Then moisten the canvas evenly from the back with a natural sponge after re-stretching (never from the front so as not to damage the printed image). Wait until the canvas is dry again. Only insert the wedges deeper into the wooden strips once it is dry.
Jeder Baum ist einzigartig und Holz ist ein zeitloses Naturprodukt, welches von physikalischen Grundgesetzen wie Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit maßhaltig beeinflusst wird. Dieser natürliche und rustikale Charakter, der den besonderen Reiz von Holz ausmacht, bedingt jedoch auch gewisse Einschränkungen bei der Beschaffenheit der Produkte, die bewusst in Kauf genommen werden müssen. Trotz sorgfältigster Materialauswahl und modernster Fertigungsmethoden müssen bei Holz die dargestellten Besonderheiten, die in der Praxis immer wieder zu beobachten sind, akzeptiert werden. Diese Merkmale sind unbeeinflussbare Eigenschaften des Werkstoffes Holz, sie können nicht reklamiert werden.
Konkret bedeutet das: Die Leinwand kann sich mit der Zeit durch schwankende Temperaturen und Luftfeuchtigkeit dehnen und zu einem Verzug des Holzrahmens führen. Solche Fälle sind ausdrücklich kein Reklamationsgrund.
#1 Nachkeilen
• Keilrahmen vorsichtig auf die Bildfläche legen (am besten auf eine Decke, damit das Druckbild nicht beschädigt wird).
• Die Holzkeile in den Ecken mit einem kleinen Hammer vorsichtig (!) tiefer einschlagen (1-2 Millimeter reichen in den meisten Fällen, auf keinen Fall bis zum Anschlag!).
• Fertig! Nach 1-2 Tagen sollten die Falten geglättet sein; ist das nicht der Fall, bitte die Keile noch ein kleines Stück tiefer einschlagen.
#2 Geradebiegen
• stelle den Keilrahmen mit einer Seite auf dem Boden vor dir ab
• die Bildfläche zeigt von dir weg
• fixiere die untere Keilrahmenleiste mit dem Fuß
• biegen den Keilrahmen, in dem du die diagonalen Ecken aufeinander zu drückst
• ggf. den Keilrahmen auf die nächste Seite drehen und den Prozess solange wiederholen, bis der Rahmen völlig gerade ist
#3 Befeuchten
• lege den Keilrahmen auf die Bildfläche
• befeuchte den Holzrahmen gleichmäßig mit Wasser (leicht einsprühen, nicht tränken)
• beschwere alle Ecken und Seiten gleichermaßen (z.B. mit Büchern)
• lasse den Rahmen in waagerechter Position völlig trocknen
