The robust gallery canvas from SIHL® weighs a proud 390 g/m² and is made from 100% cotton. It is stretched particularly tightly onto the solid wood stretcher frame using a special tensioning technique. This not only ensures high stability but the combination of high-quality canvas and tight tension guarantees easy and reliable pinning: When inserting the pins, they wobble briefly but then stay firmly stuck in the canvas and do not fall out!
Our cotton canvas also has another important advantage: Unlike a polyester canvas, hardly any holes remain when you remove the pins! Like with a garment, the cotton fibers open when pierced – and then close almost completely as soon as you pull the pin out again.

With the Push Pin Canvas PLUS, we additionally insert a PALBOARD® rigid foam board directly behind the canvas into the stretcher frame. The decisive advantage: PALBOARD® is better than cork! The material is significantly more shatterproof, feather-light – and holds pins firmly and perfectly. This makes pinning truly enjoyable!
Of course, with the PLUS version, you still have access to the tension wedges so the canvas can be tightened if needed.

Packaging
Impact-resistant packaging in a specially designed folding box for Push Pin Maps: This can be opened and unfolded on three sides, allowing the Push Pin Map to be comfortably lifted out of the packaging without damage. The packaging is fully recyclable.
Care Instructions
To ensure you enjoy your Push Pin Map for a long time, we recommend gentle handling of this natural product:
- When opening the packaging, make sure the edges do not rub against the cardboard. We have developed a special folding box that you can open and unfold on three sides – this prevents color abrasion when unpacking.
- Do not touch the Push Pin Map with greasy fingers. Dark colors in particular are sensitive if you rub your hand over the printed fabric. When hanging the Push Pin Map, it is best to handle the product on the inside of the stretcher frame.
- Dust can be easily removed. Use a Swiffer or a soft, dry cotton cloth – without applying pressure.
- If the canvas loses tension over time, you can perfectly retighten it using the wedges inserted on the back of the wooden frame.

The MINIVENTURES® Europe map is designed so that children can use it for many years: starting in preschool as a picture and discovery map (finding animals & illustrations, getting to know continents) – and later for reading, matching, and learning (countries, capitals, and many other places).
In short: it grows with them – from the first amazement to the real "I-know-where-that-is" moment.
With the MINIVENTURES® Europe map, children learn about the world playfully and visually – without the "textbook feeling." They understand connections ("Where is what?"), learn names, and become increasingly better at orienting themselves on the globe.
On the map, children will find, among other things:

- capitals as well as other important cities
- islands, seas, and oceans
- numerous lovingly illustrated motifs (animals, people, landmarks)
This way, "Where is that?" naturally becomes: "Ah – I know that!"
Yes. The map uses child-friendly, easy-to-read typography and a clear color scheme so that labels do not get "lost" in the design. This is especially important for children's maps: Less visual noise, more orientation.
All MINIVENTURES® children's Europe maps are produced using fine art printing (giclée process). This means the world map is printed at a resolution of 2,400 dpi – which is many times higher than conventional digital printing methods.
By the way: We use water-based pigment inks. Besides UV resistance, the great advantage is that these colors are odorless, making them perfect for use in children's rooms, kindergartens, or schools.
They deliberately help with learning. The illustrations are not just "some cute thing on the side," but visual anchors: children remember them, point to them, ask questions – and that’s exactly how learning happens in everyday life.
Animals, people, and landmarks ensure that children:
- recognize countries more quickly
- retain terms more easily (because an image is associated with them)
- ask more questions – and thereby learn more

Slim-Line and Gallery-Line describe the frame depth of your Push Pin Map.
Slim-Line features a 2 cm deep frame. It lies completely flat against the wall, creating a subtle shadow effect.
Gallery-Line is twice as deep at 4 cm, standing out more from the wall and giving the world map a particularly high-quality gallery look with a stronger shadow effect. At the same time, the 4 cm frame offers a plus in stability – especially for larger Push Pin Maps from 160 cm, the Gallery-Line is therefore particularly recommended.
If you prefer it as flat and understated as possible, Slim-Line is the right choice. For more presence on the wall and additional stability, we recommend the Gallery-Line.
Our Push Pin Maps can be easily hung directly on two nails or screws using the stretcher frame. An additional hanging device (such as sawtooth hangers) is not necessary. This offers several advantages:
- The canvas lies as flat as possible against the wall.
- We reduce the risk of scratches on the wall/wallpaper that a hanging device can cause.
- Flexible hanging and positioning.
- Additional components mean additional potential points of failure.
So we are not "saving" on a hanging device; we are consciously choosing to forgo one. This solution has proven itself well over the years.
