Push Pin Canvas LITE ★★★
The robust SIHL® gallery canvas weighs a substantial 390 g/m² and is made from 100% cotton. Using a special stretching technique, it is pulled particularly tightly over the solid-wood stretcher frame. This ensures excellent stability, while the combination of high-quality canvas and taut tension also makes pinning easy and reliable: When inserted, the pins wobble briefly, but then remain firmly secured in the canvas and do not fall out!
Our cotton canvas offers another important advantage: Unlike polyester canvas, it leaves hardly any holes when you remove the pins! The fibers open when the pin is inserted and close almost completely again as soon as you pull the pin back out.

Push Pin Canvas PLUS ★★★★★
With the Push Pin Canvas PLUS, we additionally insert a PALBOARD® rigid foam board directly behind the canvas in the stretcher frame. The key advantage: PALBOARD® is better than cork! The material is significantly more break-resistant, featherlight, and holds pins firmly. Pinning has never been more enjoyable!
With the PLUS version, you still have access to the tensioning wedges in the corners, so the canvas can be re-tensioned if needed.

Shock-resistant packaging in a folding carton specially designed for Push Pin Maps: It can be opened and unfolded on three sides, allowing the Push Pin Map to be lifted comfortably and without damage from the packaging. The packaging is fully recyclable.

Our world maps in the Equal Earth projection offer a high density of information. Printing on textured cotton canvas requires a sufficient minimum font size so that the labels remain easy to read. In particularly densely labeled regions, such as the Balkans, country names are sometimes supplemented with the official two-letter ISO country codes. Some individual capitals may be omitted due to limited space—all for the benefit of a clear and legible overall presentation.

To enjoy your Push Pin Map for a long time, we recommend treating this natural product with care:
- When opening the packaging, make sure the edges do not rub against the cardboard. We have developed a special folding box that you can open and fold back on three sides—this prevents color abrasion when unpacking.
- Do not touch the Push Pin Map with greasy fingers. Dark colors in particular are sensitive if you rub your hand over the printed fabric. When hanging the Push Pin Map, it is best to handle the product on the inside of the stretcher frame.
- Dust can be removed very easily. Use a Swiffer or a soft, dry cotton cloth—without applying pressure.
- If the canvas loses tension over time, you can retension it perfectly using the wedges inserted into the back of the wooden frame.
Good to know
A world map as a Push Pin Map is much more than an ordinary world map or mere wall decoration. Our world map as a Push Pin Map was designed to mark places you have visited, special memories, and new travel destinations directly on the map with pins. This turns the world map into a personal space for travel planning, travel memories, and new adventures.
You can even use route string to make entire travel itineraries visible on the world map by connecting the pins you have placed. Many maps on the market are very colorful, overloaded with details, or not designed professionally enough. A clean, minimalist layout is especially beneficial when marking countries you have visited and new travel destinations. It improves readability and ensures that the pins—and therefore your very personal travel stories—stand out better. In addition, good design deserves carefully selected materials that ensure high overall product quality and guarantee that you will still enjoy your world map years from now. To give you as much freedom of choice as possible, you can configure our world map products in many different ways and even personalize them if you wish.

Slim-Line and Gallery-Line describe the frame depth of your Push Pin Map.
Slim-Line has a 2 cm-deep frame. It sits completely flat against the wall, creating a subtle shadow effect.
Gallery-Line is twice as deep at 4 cm, so it stands out more from the wall and gives the world map a particularly premium gallery look with a stronger shadow effect. At the same time, the 4 cm frame offers additional stability—especially for larger Push Pin Maps measuring 160 cm or more, which is why Gallery-Line is particularly recommended.
If you prefer something as flat and understated as possible, Slim-Line is the right choice. For more presence on the wall and additional stability, we recommend Gallery-Line.
The main difference between the Push Pin Canvas LITE and PLUS lies in the construction behind the canvas—and therefore in the pinning experience.
The Push Pin Canvas LITE is made from a high-quality, tightly stretched gallery canvas made of 100% cotton by SIHL®. It already enables easy and reliable pinning and is ideal if you only occasionally mark your world map or primarily want to use it as stylish wall décor.
With the Push Pin Canvas PLUS, we additionally insert a PALBOARD® rigid foam board directly behind the canvas inside the stretcher frame. This allows pins to hold even more firmly and comfortably—especially if you want to mark many places, work with route yarn, or attach photos, tickets, and other mementos.
The PLUS version is therefore the best choice for frequent travelers and anyone who wants to use their world map extensively.
Yes, you can personalize your world map and make it truly unique. You have several design options to choose from:
In the bottom left, you can choose the Bourdain quote (in English by default) or have your own desired quote printed.
In the bottom right, you can add your name, family name, and even a small legend for the pins. You can also choose the design that suits you best from five different motifs. Businesses can also have their own logo printed on the world map for a small additional charge.
Our concept follows a clear minimalist approach. This means that we not only eliminate all elements that are not absolutely necessary from the design of our maps, but also from their construction. Our Push Pin Maps can be hung directly by the stretcher frame on two nails or screws with ease. An additional hanging device, such as a sawtooth hanger, is not necessary. This has several advantages:
- The canvas lies as flat against the wall as possible.
- We reduce the risk of scratches on the wall or wallpaper that a hanging device can cause.
- Flexible hanging and positioning.
- Additional components mean additional potential sources of error.
So we are not “saving” on a hanging device; we have consciously chosen not to use one. This solution has proven itself well over the years.
